Enjoying a quiet month, we decided to go on a family overnight trip on the sailboat. I dusted off our umiak, The Megalodon, to serve duty as tender for the adventure. On day two, we sailed to Sydney by the sea for a stroll around town. Tied up at the dock was a stunning Canoe Yawl for sale. I could not pass up the opportunity to have my picture taken with it.
Next week, Claire's sailing canoe will come back to the shop for a "budget" sailing rig. I have been pondering on how to do this in the most affordable fashion for my good friend. I am thinking a miniature Chinese lug sail for safe downwind and reaching work.
