We ran the first Greenland paddle carving class yesterday. Fun was to be had by all as we turned a raw red cedar plank into a paddle and mostly fragrant wood shaving( about 70% by weight)
Students were introduced to planes, spokshaves and the shaving horses and by the evening, the work was mostly completed. only a few hours of finishing remain.
