In the Driftwood!!!

Thank you for the tremendous response to the Gulf Island Driftwood article. A special thanks for Elizabeth Nolan for writing it.
I am honored by all the experienced carpenter who are signing up for the class and it will be tremendous fun. However, I must say that you DO NOT NEED any woodworking experience to undertake this project.
We can take it slow and everyone can work at their own pace. If you are willing to try, I will take it on with you. If it sounds like too much, you can start with carving the paddle in a couple of pleasant evening.
Let's face it, can you really live on an island without a boat?

If you are not into kayaking, you could build a sailing pram or perhaps a canoe...
